Studio J #13

The last day for Perfect 10!

Do you recognize the paper?  Can you guess?  I used Giggles and Grins!  I recolored the paper to match the princesses and the kids clothes!  Giggles and Grins is usually Cranberry, Honey, Black, and White Daisy. That is the versatility I like about Studio J! I absolutely love this page it turned perfect!  I also picked a font that suited princesses!  The frame on the left is stick ease that I did a journaling box inside of!  It was the "best day ever" according to my tenderhearted Lora!

Studio J #13

One more day for Perfect 10!

I had a blast doing this layout!  I worried a little that I got a little carried away with the Stickease but it is really cute and fun!  The carousels on the top of the left layout are stickease, as well as, the Ferris wheels at the bottom of the page!  I also added a little interest with stickease diamonds on the left and the squares on the right.  The Ferris Wheel was a huge hit with the girls because it is where they spotted Ariel's Grotto from, which led to lunch with the princesses!

Layout Challenge Week #5

So the pictures might look a little familiar, I used them in my last layout, the hazard of having twins and an album for each set of twins!  This is my boys layout!  Same paper (Veranda, retired) too, looks a lot different!  The leaves are just paper folded in half, cut out the shape and crumble it in your hand and ink it a little, I used New England Ivy!

I am at a retreat this weekend stocking up on future layouts!

Can't wait to see what you have created!

Studio J #12

Zippidee is a really fun paper for Disney but works for lots of other things too!  Zippidee is retired so Studio J is the only place you can purchase it!  This layout s really fun, with the flower/scalloped circle on the left.  My kids are really different and this layout really shows it.  One of my daughters has a complete look of delight on her face and the other looks terrified!

The title is done with Stickease and I was able to rotate each letter a little to get a more random effect!  The little title on the right is a stickease tag and journaling on top of it!

Your Time is running out!  A Perfect 10 ends in two days!!  Studio J however will be around for a long time!  Check it out and start doing something with those pictures you took!  You took the pictures, now preserve the memories.

Studio J #11

The Disney Hotel room were really fun!  They had a headboard that was carved to look like the Cinderella castle that lights up with fireworks!  The lamp plays a dream is is a wish come true song and the television has a princess telling bedtime stories!

I used Daydream, the perfect princess paper that is retired.  The title is stickease as is the crown and the journaling under the foggy picture!  This was a fun layout to do lots of journaling on too!

Studio J #10

Nothing like the magic of Disney!  All the embellishments are Stickease and I manipulated some to look like Mickey and Minnie! Isn't the circle pretty?
What are you doing with your pictures?

Studio J #9

This is one of more favorite pages I made for this trip!  I love how I used the squares to make the title!  Of course I love the completely different look from the other pages except for the color palette.  This is still Giggles and Grins but I didn't use the dots anywhere!

Studio J #8

So on this layout I didn't do anything exciting but I love it because the likelihood is that I would never cut that pretty curved element on the right and might not make the effort to do the stars either!

Would you make the effort?  Have you tried Studio J and found out how fun and easy it is?

Studio J #7

I created my own journaling boxes on this one, which included the titles!  I love that I can choose the font, the color, size and the placement all with a few simple clicks!

Your turn to play! Check out Studio J here!

Layout Challenge Week #4

I used a layout from Becky Higgin's sketch book and Veranda paper (retired).  To make the leaves I folded a piece of New England Ivy paper through the crimper and then cot leaf shapes.  It still doesn't seem quite done but I couldn't figure out what else to do!  I will come back to it later and see if I need to add anything!  Let me know if you have any ideas!

Studio #6

On the layout above, I was able to swap the left and right pages to better suit my photos.  I also can choose the color of the embellishments, you are given suggested colors but you can choose from any of the 60 colors we have!

This layout was supposed to have a title in the circle on the left.  I wanted to use the Stickease letters which were red and what I wanted was too long to fit there.  So I used Stickease to embellish the circle on the left and the title on the right and the stars on the right too!  The background on this page was originally white and I played with several colors until I settled on Cranberry, love that versatility!  You could even use Studio J just to audition papers and layouts that you want to make with paper in a traditional layout!

Just a little side note, I didn't have the Token Alphabet (E1020) but I liked the look, so I improvised and used the retiring Connections (D1130) and the retired Felicity alphabet to get the Token Alphabet look!

The colors are more true in the single page pictures, sorry!  It is cloudy today and wet so I could get good natural light!

Studio J #5

Stickease letters are easy ways to make a bold title!  I created this title with those letter and was able to expand my title over 2 pages!  Also the saying in the right corner is also stickease.  The stickease usually has title, alphabets, borders and shapes that coordinate with the paper!  It makes embellishing you layouts easy and fast!  You can even resize any of the stickease!

Studio J #4

Studio J #4
You can even add distressing to any page!  I am not a fan of plain white background pages to I used the direct edge distressing.  It makes the page less stark!  Also above the Buzz Lightyear picture where the yellow is was white and I couldn't change it without changing the background too so I covered it with a text box!  It is amazing how easy it is to use and make it work for you!

Call me, text me, email me or leave a message to schedule a free Studio J lesson!

Week 2 Layout

Are you up for the challenge?! A layout a week, with a prize at the end of the year for the most layouts! I will post mine soon but I wanted to put up the link! Post yours using the link!
My sweet Joshua ate a very blue cupcake at a church picnic.  He ended up with a very blue face!  He went and asked our small group leader if she wanted a kiss! He is so cute but such a mess.

I used the Perfect Day (retired paper) left from the Level 1 pack I used for calendars.  That meant I also had stickers from the matching stickease to go with it!  I did the title with the alphabet from the stickease and the flowers and journaling too!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

52 Layouts

I want to issue a weekly challenge, inspired by fellow CTMH consultant Cheryl Even. What if, instead of collecting scrapbook supplies, you actually used them? Novel concept, huh? Well, I want to challenge you in 2012 to complete a scrapbook layout every week. If you complete just one layout every week of the year, you will have 52 layouts by the end of the year! That's enough to fill a whole album. I will create a weekly post to which you can link your layout, and we will keep track together of how many layouts you can complete. I will issue a point for each layout completed, redeemable at the end of the year for scrapbooking supplies. You must complete at least 40 layouts, posted weekly, to be eligible to receive your rewards. Who is interested? Please let me know ASAP since the clock has already started ticking on 2012!

My first layout of 2012!  It is the from Cherish how to book and is the Mixing Elements layout.  The how to books are great when you look at your pictures and don't know where to start!  It tell s you what size to cut everything and where to put it on the layout!

I used the Key to My Heart paper, which is retired...that whole use your stash theme!

The date is stamped using the E1021 Trinity Alphabet and tulip ink!
I also used the Z1395 Irresistibles™ Eclectic Chipboard Die-Cuts for most of the title.  the die cut letters have embossed patterns that show up when you ink them with the color of your choice!

I will leave the link for this week's layout open until Sunday, January 15.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!
