Studio J Saturday

This is another one of the convention layouts for Studio J!  I really love the way this one turned out!  It is the perfect combination of boot paper and funny girly pictures!

Techniques learned:

  • Adding a photo mat behind your photo using a journaling box
  • Using letters as embellishments
  • Adding "tabs" of cardstock with journaling boxes
  • Creating a title using several journaling boxes
  • Using a My Stickease® image to make a border

The scalloped border was made from circle stickease.  The white circle is the letter O!  The title is made from multiple journaling boxes to get the different fonts, sizes and colors.

Layout Challenge Week #26

Micah's best friend had his birthday party at a bowling alley!  The kids had a blast!  This was a fun layout to create!  It is out the ordinary for me and used some Stickease that coordinates the Victory papers!  Zip Strips are on the edge of each of the CTMH papers and on one side is the colors and info about the paper pack and the other is these cute strips that can be used as embellishment!  The argyle strip is a zip strip!

One other fun element from this layout is the apostrophe in Ben's name.  I used and arrow from an older mini medley to make the apostrophe.

Studio J Saturday

This layout is from the 5 layouts I got free with directions for in Studio J for going to the CTMH convention!  It was fun using the new techniques I had not used before!

 Techniques:
  • Deleting unneeded photo wells
  • Using text boxes to cover up portions of the pattern
  • Cropping My Stickease® borders to make ribbon streamers

Layout Challenge Week #25

We celebrated the boys' birthday several times last year.  The Victory papers were perfect for these pictures of the first celebrating!  I used leftover Stickease from a Father's Day for the stars and a zip strip from the Victory papers for the star border down the center!  The Happy Birthday was stamped with a retired alphabet stamp.

Layout Challenge Week 24 - almost halfway there!

I totally forgot about my blog this week!  Can you guess why?  Lots of fun but really busy!

Grace papers and a little Stickease and this simple layout was done!  Grace was one of my favorites paper packs and I accidentally bought several when they were on clearance so I will be using it for a while!

I have really enjoyed using Pinterest for layout ideas!  I think that is where I got this from!

Layout Challenge Week #23-Tune Time

Jingle is a retired Christmas paper from a couple of years ago and I also had some Stickease left so I used up the rest of the pack on this layout and a duplicate one in the boys' book!  The layouts were exactly the same except the title which was Making Music!

This was the first layout from December 2010!  Whoohoo, moving on!

What have you been creating recently?  Share it with me!

Studio J Saturday- Christmas Pajamas

Mistletoe is my favorite retired Christmas paper.  Fortunately it isn't retired in Studio J!  I never run out of a's with the Stickease!

Aren't my babies cute in their new pj's!  It is a new Christmas Eve tradition for us!

What paper is retired that you wish you could still use?  Do you find it here?

Then it is available on Studio J!

Try it out here!
