Layout Challenge #40

Sophia and Science Night, not logical, but it worked!  I had done a huge workshop with this paper and never put pictures on it and these worked perfectly on one of the layouts.

Sophia is retired and  so are the flowers and buttons I used!  I also used the Field trip alphabet stamp to do the title.

Studio J Saturday

You Rock is one of my favorite retired papers, but it available in Studio J and I never run out!  My kids and my friend Dawn's kids were all playing Just dance.  It was fun to watch and they had fun doing it!  They each got to be their own superstar!  They have fun without any reservations!

The Stickease titles and the embellishments were perfect for this page and did a great job of expressing the feeling in the pictures!

There is a perfect paper pack for every event!

Layout Challenge #39

My Joshua is my cuddle bug and we were having a fun cuddling session that my daughter, Lora had to get in on!

I used the Sonoma paper which is retired.  I used the zip strips on the right side and wood buttons to accent them.  This paper has always surprised me. I love it but really had a hard time using it, and then I try it and is perfect!  I have used this paper for wedding pictures and projects, christmas pictures and this one!  It has been very versatile for me!

Studio J Saturday

Declan's birthday party was amazing!  Pirates everywhere and tons of fun!  My husband even got in on the action!  My friend, Dawn, created awesome parties!

The title is in Stickease.  I like Stickease alphabets because I never run out of letters and it is always the perfect size!

I actually did a couple of pages of this party a long time ago in the traditional way!  Check it out here!

I love both kinds of scrapbooking, traditional and Studio J!  Have you tried Studio J?

Layout Challenge #38- Hot Wheels

We went on vacation to Chicago area this summer and in the town we were staying in the have a car show once a month.  People from around the area bring all kinds of cars, old, new, altered, fancy, even collectable hot wheels at crazy prices!

My boys and husband braved the heat of 100 degrees to go see the cars!  They had a great time but it truely was HOT wheels.  They pooped out after about an hour just because of the heat.  It was ironic because it was cooler in San Antonio that day than in Plainfield, IL.

The paper I used is the retired Crusin and I added banners that are so popular today!  I also used the zip strips from the paper, it is the checkerboard strips you see across the page!  I only had scraps left so I put them to good use!  It is so fun to work with paper that suits your pictures so well!

Studio J Saturday

Mistletoe madness!  This is my last Mistletoe layout I will show you at least until I run out of other things to post!  I have lots more Christmas pages left!

I picked this one as my last because while this layout is a good one, it can get tiresome to use because of the circles.  I dressed this one up using the Stickease!  Each circle is actually 2 layers of stickease and a brad!  I resized them to cover the circles on the layout and then resized the layers appropriately.  It makes this layout enough different that I don't say oh yeah the circle layout, ick!

Also important to note is that the regular paper pack Stickease wouldn't work for this, they are too small and too few!  The great thing is I NEVER run out in Studio J and I can resize to fit my needs!  After spending much of last weekend working on Footloose Swim team pages and realizing that I wasn't going to have enough of the retired paper, I realize what a great thing unlimited paper and Stickease is!

Layout Challenge #37

This layout uses the retired Wings paper!  I had fun with the title by adding the faux stitching!  I just used a white pen to highlight the letters!
I found this layout on pinterest and made it my own!

Studio J Saturday- Pop Rocks

When I saw Pop Rocks in the grocery store I knew I had to get some for the kids!  Sara is the kiddo in this page and she is so expressive!  She got a huge kick out of the Pop Rocks because she put a bunch in her mouth at once!  What a blast to watch!
The tags were fun to create!  The different size fonts  added interest and perfectly described the situation!  Of course I never had too few tags because of Studio J and I could make them the perfect size!

Below are my boys trying out their Pop Rocks!
It was fun to create the title on the curve of the circle and then add embellishments to enhance the empty space!  I am still working on clustering but I continue to try until I find something I like!  I love that I didn't have to reprint the photo of the boys together in a larger size just drag and drop and voila it is the perfect size!  And if it needs to be cropped I can do that too and it is still big enough!

Try your hand at Studio J here!  There is no purchase required and No obligation to buy!

Layout Challenge Week #36

I never get to use Believe last year before it retired so using it for this layout was fun!

The kids received baking mixes from their Aunt Dorothy this year for Christmas.  Of course they had to make them right away!  They made gingerbread and had lots of them to decorate with the green and red frosting too!  Micah even got in on the action!

I got both layouts off Pinterest!  The bowl was out of Veranda Paper and the spoon is shiny silver shimmer paper that is super old!  The sketch on the right had a scalloped border but I wanted something different so I used triangles!  The gingerbread people were cut from the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge and I manipulated a skirt on the Paper Dolls cartridge to make it fit!
