Sneak Peek - Later Sk8r

Having two boys, I always get excited about boy paper!  This is definitely BOY paper and lots of fun too!

This was the funnest card to make!  It started from this card on Pinterest.  The gears are all from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge and well as the words!  I also used the  NEW Black assortment of buttons as the centers of most of the gears!  I love the sparkle on the some of the buttons, while others look like screw tops or are very plain!  The following picture is the inside of the card!

Washi tape is all the rage right now and we have some!  The grey polka dot is our washi tape!  The sentiment  and stars are from the new Perfect Fit - Birthday stamp set!  It is intended to be used with the Perfect Fit Frames, which I didn't use showing that it can be used  in many ways!  Boy cards are not the easiest to make but this one was fun and easy!

Sneak Peek - Claire

This card is a combo of Outdoor Denim, Cranberry, Hollyhock, Sunset and Blush and Claire papers, not a combo I would have put together but it really works! The flowers were cut on the Cricut with Art Philosophy!  I used the Baker's Twine Harvest assortment ( Sunset),  NEW Black assortment of Buttons (Z1821), and the New Outdoor Denim Chevron Ribbon (Z1808) to dress it up!

The sentiment is from Casual Expressions D1525 and is cut on the Cricut using Artiste.  I made the scalloped border using the corner punch with the sides removed!  The New Outdoor Denim Chevron Ribbon finishes off the look, don't you love the optical illusion!

Sneak Peek - Chantilly

So Chantilly was instant love for me!  Having girls this paper is just perfect!  However as you can tell the card on the right is not particularly girly!
4 My Friend is the stamp set I used on both cards!    It is quite versatile and can be used for birthday, thank you, cheer up, miss you, love you and more!  I also used the color ready seam binding that starts white and you can easily dye it whatever color you want!  The sentiment shape is cut on the Cricut with Art Philosophy and the cute pink gems are the new Pink Glitter Gems!

I absolutely love that this can look so different from the other card!  I used bitty sparkles and Sparkles clear flourishes - small (NEW!)  I cut the mat and circle for the sentiment on the Cricut using Art Philosophy!

Sneak Peek-Tommy

Tommy is fun nautical themed, brightly colored paper!  I love bright papers so I really enjoy this one!
I had fun this card!  I wanted to put an anchor on the card but didn't have one on a Cricut cartridge or stamp so I kept looking!  This Under the Sea stamp and the You blow me away sentiment caught my eye!  It is a very fun stamp set!  I colored it with our watercolors and used a blending pen to smooth out the coloring lines!
I originally started copying a card that someone else had made and it morphed into something totally different!  The Stars come from Love Life stamp and are cut on the Cricut with Art Philosophy!  The Happy Birthday is from the new Perfect Fit Birthday (B1417) stamp set! The finishing touch was the blue epoxy bubbles that are new!  They come in a package with blue and green!

Studio J Sunday

Pear and Partridge was a huge favorite of mine this year.  I was put off at first by the pink in the paper and realized quickly that with some green I loved it!  It also wasn't as pink as it first appeared!  I am a traditional color girl for Christmas paper!

I love this layout in Studio J!  I rotated both pages to make it work better with my photos!  I added Stickease snowflakes in varying sizes and brads to the middle of the snowflakes!!  This layout doesn't need much embellishment beyond what is included!  Love that when I am doing 18 pages of Christmas layouts!

Did I mention that this is one of my pages from 2012?  Yep I am done with Christmas 2012!  One of the many reasons I love Studio J!

In February all Studio J layouts will be $5!  That is a two page layout for only $5! Start working on yours now!

Sneak Peek - For Always

I LOVE this paper! It is so elegant and versatile!  You can add any color you want to the black and white to make it pop!

I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to make the heart shape on this card!  Ruby paper just pops off the card!  I used the new Artisan Stud which are self adhesive to bling up the card in an elegant way!   Also the Tulle ribbon added the perfect touch to the card!  I could use this for a Valentine's Day, Anniversary, wedding card, or for an everyday I love you card!

The Pirouette Stamp set has been calling my name since the last Idea Book and this paper screamed for me to use it!  I used the Lagoon paper that came with the paper pack to stamp the Pirouette stamp on the shape I had cut out on the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  I love not having to cut out the stamped image!  I sponged black over the stamped image so the white paper was well, less in your face white!  The final touch was to add Sparkles Black and Grey Assortment!

Sneak Peek- Buzz and Bumble

I used the Dark Chocolate Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Hemp and a retiring Clear Button to highlight the new Buzz and Bumble papers!  I also used the new Joyful Birthday Stamp B1419.  The bow was my first attempt at a cheater bow!  I just made two loops with the ribbon and left the tails loose, I tied the hemp around the ribbon and arranged the bow to be pleasing!

Burlap ribbon, Hooray Bouquet, Artisan Studs (Z1816), and Pun Fun all came together to make this fun card! I also used the watercolor pencils to color the bee and then the blending pen to blend the lines out!

Come see me between 2 and midnight on February 2 to see these products in person!  Let me know if you are coming!

My kids love looking at the animals at Petland so one boring summer afternoon we went to the petshop to break up the boredom!  We had not been to this particular one before and they had blast checking out the birds, bunnies and guinea pigs and more!

The retired paper Olivia is featured here!  Though it is not available for purchase it is still available through Studio J!  I also used the centerpoint feature on my Cricut with the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the circle picture of the bird!  It was so easy I placed the photo in the center of the mat and put the blade in the center too, pushed the centerpoint button and cut a circles the size I wanted!  Viola perfect circle with the bird in the center!

I also used the Sunset ribbon and a metal charm to add the final touch to the layout!

A is for Adorable

Welcome to our very first Everything ABC's Blog Hop! This will be the first of many throughout the year so make sure to check out what we have new for you about every two weeks. Happy New Year and Happy Hopping!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter A. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their A element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Lucy then you're on the right track!

I used the Clemetine paper for this layout!  The base is Saddle paper. I spotted the idea for this layout on Pinterest here.

My daughter loves our cat and really any cat that will snuggle with her!  She asked me to take the main picture and the smaller one is a friend's kitten!

I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the hearts ranging between 2 and 3.5 inches.  The heart
picture is also cut in the Art Philosophy cartridge.  There might be an easier way to cut it but I cut a sample heart and then positioned the photo under the paper to figure out where I wanted it to cut.  Then I removed the paper and repeat the last cut to cut the photo!  It was perfectly positioned!

I love the simplicity of this page!
