Studio J Sunday

More Backyard Bible Club!  I used the title block on this for journaling and put the title on top of the large picture using Stickease!  The big flower is also Stickease, where a photo was supposed to be, and really brightens up the page!

Gotta love just dragging and dropping 10 photos into a page and viola you are basically done!  No reprinting the big photo or having to crop out things you want for the photos to be small enough!

Studio J is fun, fast and free to try!

Gear Up

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter G. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their G element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy

Big G, little g, what begins with G?

I had a tough time figuring out what I wanted to do for G!  Glitter, girls, grandparents, gems, ...what to do!?  Then I saw my card with gears and the layout I had done with gears and I knew that was it!

The gears are so boy and easy to cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  There are multiple different gears ( most on pg. 38-39 of the Artiste book) and with the Cricut they can be different sizes and papers making them look totally different!

This card is so fun for a party invite!  The inside has the word party on it!  I used the Later Sk8er paper and black button assortment for the embellishments on the gears!

The picture below are of a layout done with Later Sk8r and I used the Green and Blue Epoxy Bubbles , Outdoor Denim Bakers Twine  , and Later Sk8r Stickease to embellish the gears cut on the cricut!  I also stamped some of the images using the Fast and Furious stamp set.

These groupings of gears were used on these pages that I created based on the Idea Book layouts on pgs. 44 and 47.

Let's Scrap - Scrap your Stash Challlenge

Challenge #24 -We had to use at least:

3 patterned papers
1 cardstock
sticker letters
1 die cut
ribbon or twine
and add 10 pieces of bling!! (eyelets, brads, jewels or pearls)

One of the patterned paper may be hard to see it is the strip under the title.
The sticker letters were especially fun because I had to piece several of them to have enough letters!
The box around my journaling was my die cut!
The ribbon is Ric Rac under the Dance to be title.
I have bling by the journaling on the left, dots before Fit and the dot on the exclamation point and on the journaling box.

The paper is Elemental which is retired but still available in Studio J!  The Blue and Green Epoxy Bubbles are new in this Idea book and I love them!  The journaling box was cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge!

Challenge #25/26- We had to use this bingo chart and choose a row, column or diagonal!
I chose the diagonal from top left to bottom right!

I used bling by the title on the right page!
Chipboard is what the title is on.
brads are across the  top and bottom of the left page.
Washi tape was my hardest because I only have one kind!  It is under the title!
Ribbon is over the picture on the left- neat discovery on that one...it is self adhesive!

I used paper from a special CTMH had ages ago. The Red, Pink and Purple Sparkles were the end of the red for me!  The Durable Studs were a great use of overload from multiple packages that were partially used in a class!  The Slate Polka Dot Washi Tape was cool looking with the red showing through!  I had a great time playing along with this challenge!

Paper Secrets Challenge

I really liked the sketch for the challenge on Paper Secrets so I went in search of paper and pictures to do it with!

I found these two adorable pictures of my oldest, Sara on her birthday!  The blue of her hat brought to mind the blue in Cherry- O (retired).  I used the striped paper and cut it into the individual strips so it doesn't even look like it is from the same paper! I added the cute embellishments that coordinated with Cherry-O papers!  For the chipboard element I found a leftover from some chipboard elements that have the Irresistable element to them, meaning that when I inked the chipboard with Tulip parts of it stayed white creating a pattern.

I was incredibly pleased with this layout!  It was fun to create and outside of the box for me!

Same but Different

I have two sets of twins and for me that means two albums!  One  album for each set of twins.

My oldest of each set of twins, Sara and Micah earned a spot in the Young Masters Art Show with their school district.  I figured I was using the same pictures why not use the same layout!  I just switched out the paper!  All the paper is from the Stella (retired) paper pack and the title is cut from the Artiste Cricut cartridge!  The layout was intended for 4x6 photos and I altered it a little to make it my own!

The zip strips from Stella were used on the top layout to embellish it a little!  I used paper to do the same thing on the bottom layout!

Love the Stella paper?  It is still available in Studio J!

Black, White and one other color

I made this for a virtual crop challenge and it fit perfectly with the challenge on Stampin' Royalty and with the challenge on Southern Girls.

On Southern Girls, the challenge was about kids or featuring kids.

On Stampin' Royalty, we were supposed to use the below picture as inspiration!

I had used Black, White and Pink, flowers and even the scallops all come from this picture!  I love using challenges to inspire me to reach and try something a little different!

Studio J Sunday

Backyard Bible club is essentially Vacation Bible School but in someone's back yard.  The theme this past year was Sky so the cloud paper from Splendor was perfect!

This layout has 15 pictures which is fabulous because I had TONS of pictures!  I added the flowers from the Stickease and the title is actually three different title boxes!  I also used the journaling box for a photo and added a journaling box below the pictures on the left!  In another text box I added the date!

Studio J is so easy to use and quick!  I could never have fit 15 photos on a traditional layout!  Give it a try!  It is free to use! Click here to get started!

Everything ABC Blog hop - Letter E for Easter

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!
For this hop we will be featuring the letter E. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their E element will be featured in their post.
If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy
If you came from Alicia - Serene Scrapping then you're on the right track!

No you are not having double vision!  But I did do a double version!  I know totally corny but I love it!  I have girl twins and boys twins so I have a boy scrapbook and you guessed it a girl scrapbook!

Usually if I do a Studio J layout for their books it is the same layout no changes!  This time the paper just seemed perfect to do two layouts the same but different!  I did a boy and a girl version!  I still have the same pictures, journaling and titles but different papers!
E is for Easter Egg Hunt and Easy!  I just copied the layout using the duplicate button and then changed the papers and colors to suit the girls better!  Wish I could do it as easy with traditional scrapping!
The paper I used was the retired Discovery paper,  I used Stickease for the the title and journalled!

Your next stop on our Everything ABC'S blog Hop is Kathy Johnson ~ Kathy's Creative Corner!
