July 4th - ABC Blog Hop Letter J

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!
For this hop we will be featuring the letter J. This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has
chosen as their J element will be featured in their post.
If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy
If you came from Shelly Nemitz then you're on the right track!

J was a tough one for me. So I thought and thought and realized I was doing a July 4th layout. Problem solved!
I used the retired Fanfare paper (still available on Studio J) since it just seemed perfect! I had loads of pictures and weeded out probably half of them (wish I had done that before I printed them.)
I still managed to get 13 pictures on this layout!  I used the centerpoint feature on the Cricut to cut the star photos with Art Philosophy.  The stars that form the border are also cut with Art Philosophy.  The layout I was using for inspiration had a scalloped border and I wanted to do something different so I cut out three colors of stars in three different sizes and created the border!  Under the larger photo star on the right I added a blue star to help it pop since it was layered on top of another photo!  The title is cut with the Artiste Cartridge!

For those of you wondering what the centerpoint feature on the Cricut is...I eyeballed the center of the area on the photo I wanted to cut in a star shape and moved the blade to the center.  The center point button on an Expression Cricut is on the left and I just pressed it and chose my shape and size and cut.  Instantly a star shaped picture!

Hope you enjoyed the visit!
