Destination Fun

For the title, I used the Surf's Up Stickease!  The van and clouds are also Stickease!  The sun on the right and waves were all cut with the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge!  The vertical borders were stamped using the Surf's Up Workshop on the Go stamp set and the zip strips!  I added a touch of bling on the word Fun!

Babycakes Sneak Peek

Looking at my left card you can see this is intended to be a baby/toddler paper.  However if you don't use the Giraffe or the letter sides of the paper you just have a bright sunshiney card!  Love that our paper is truely two sided!  If I don't like one side I usually like the other side!
I got my inspiration for this card here!  The cardstock circles 1.5 inches and the patterned circles 1.25.  The sentiment is one chipboard from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge but can also be purchased separately!  I just inked it and then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on it! I did add a little of the yellow patterned paper under it to show through!
When I started this card my intention was to show that you could use this paper for more than toddlers and babies!  I really think you could use this for Easter, the zoo, birthdays, maybe even Halloween or back to school!  I used the A True Thanks M sized stamp set.  Slate brads and the Mini-Medley Accents Slate Collections blingy flourish finish off this card!

I also entered this in the Southern Girls Animal Antics Challenge!

Surf's Up and Scrap Your Stash Challenge

I saw this sketch on Scrap Your Stash challenge blog.  It just screamed Sunshine to me so out came my Surf's Up leftover paper and beach pictures!  I also noticed that Heart 2 Heart was having a challenge Water, water, everywhere and entered that too!  I just found the Anything Goes Challenge on Krafty Girls and joined it too!
I used the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge to cut the large sunshine shape and the patterned blue waves as well as the title!
The sun at the top and bottom were cut using the center point feature on the Cricut with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The lagoon colored wave and flowers were fussy cut from the paper and enhanced with bling in the flowers!  The title is the new alphabet on the Artbooking Cartridge.  I love it!

This is the challenge page with its companion page!

ProPlayer Sneak Peek

For those of you who think you won't need ProPlayer...I made these cards just for you!
I used the new Ruby Chevron ribbon on the left and pleated it.  The stamp is the new M sized stamp set A Little Gift!  To glam it up a bit I used the Red Glitz!
Below is the second ProPlayer card!  I used the new Red Shimmer trim that is self adhesive to add a little sparkle! The burst, flower whatever you want to call it is from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge!  The bow is from the new Mini-Medleys Accents Ruby Collections and has a little sparkle to it!

Now that you have seen my cards, you can see that they don't look like gaming at all!  The paper has a lot of versatility and I love it for 4th of July and anything patriotic as well as BOYS!  Love boy paper!

Frosted Sneak Peek

I miss snow and love snow papers!  Frosted is right up my alley!
Artbooking Cricut Cartridge is featured on the above card with the snowflakes!  Love this border!  Art Philosophy was used for the shape the sentiment is on! I also used the Indian Corn Blue Pigment for the sentiment and snowflakes with I added a little prisma glitter to!  The sentiment is from the new stamp set Polar Bear Holiday!  I added sparkles for the finishing touch!
I used two new things for this elegant card....you can't even tell it is snowflake paper unless you look really close!  I used the Base and Bling Flowers to add the shine and sparkle.  The new Slate Striped Twist Ties are the border and bow, what a fun alternative to ribbon!  This design also comes from the new Make it From Your Heart 2 book! I totally love the how-to books from CTMH!

N is for Necklace- ABC Blog Hop

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter N.  This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has
chosen as their N element will be featured in their post.

The Close to My Heart Convention was recently at the Coronado Springs Resort at Disney World!  I had the priviledge of attending and learning lots of new things and having loads of fun too!

One of the new things I did while there was make this necklace from the Fabric Necklace Kit.  I have to admit, my first thought was I am a scrapper not a jewelry person!  However this was super easy and lots of fun.  We used a strip of fabric folded in half and just twisted tightly to make the center flower.  you just started in the center of the super sticky adhesive and worked your way around and out to the end!

We covered the circles that are the base of the necklace with fabric from the Sarita Textiles, and used the same textiles to make the center flower and flower on the right.

The Base and Bling Teal and Black Jewels, Base and Bling Floral Accents and Base and Bling Word accents to create this beautiful necklace!  The whole kit, which you have a lot of left when the necklace is finished, is only $14.95!

Imagine you and your friends or your daughter and her friends all getting together and making these beautiful necklaces!  Maybe a hair clip or head band to coordinate with it!  Or a bracelet   The possibilities are endless and this is not only color!  Have a party and get all blinged out and get hostess credit to buy more of the great new products in the Autumn/Winter Idea Book!

We have base and Bling Jewels in Pink, Red, Black, Purple and Teal for just $5.95 each and don't limit them to jewelry...you will be seeing them on my scrapbook pages too!  The Floral accents will be featured on one of my cards on my blog later next week!

All of the wonderfulness will be available for sale on my website August 1st!

Your next stop on our Everything ABC'S blog Hop is Shelly Nemitz of Just One Piece.

Sarita Sneak Peek

Sarita is a fun paper pack that has a bit of a southwest flair to it.
I used the new Artbooking Cartridge to cut the frame for the new M-sized stamp, Heartfelt Birthday Wish.  I used Gypsy ink with the blending pen to create the ombre look to my word birthday.  To finish it off I added some Sparkles Brown and Tan Assortment.  I found this card to be really fun to make and  also a bit of a challenge!

Below I used the Artbooking Cartridge for the border strips behind the hexagons and for the hexagons.  I also used the new Aqua Dots which are sort of a new kind of sparkle/gem we have!  I really love them they are self adhesive and come in several sizes!
Come check out this fun paper pack at the Mystery Hostess Idea Book Kickoff and Crop!  You might get free product just by RSVPing and showing up!

Laughing Lola- Sneak Peek

In every new CTMH Idea Book I always have an immediate favorite and Laughing Lola is it in this Autumn/Winter Idea Book!
I love the bold pattern and fun colors instantly drew me in!
Paisley Perfect is the stamp set I used on both cards!  My daughter, Sara, is quite sassy so I can see me using this stamp set a lot!  I had fun playing with the colors of ink to use with this paper also!  Gypsy and Lagoon both work really well with this paper so I rock and rolled the paisley above in both colors and love the results!  I also used the new Mini-Medley Black assortment below...the self adhesive sequins are so easy to use!
The Laughing Lola Card class on August 21 at 10 am and 6:30 pm will be making 4 stunning cards from this paper for only $10. To sign up you can email me or come to the Mystery Hostess Idea Book Kickoff on August 3 from 10 to 6!

Disney Autograph Books

The Close to My Heart Convention was at DisneyWorld this year and I went with my family in tow!  Before we left people were talking about autograph books, so I asked my kids if the wanted one.  At first they said no but changed their minds.  I used the Mickey Font Cartridge to cut 5 inch Mickey heads, 4 to a sheet of paper, in varying colors.  For the cover I used the Mickey alphabet and used each child's initial to help personalize it!
Behind the cover I put a cute Mickey paper and then adhered another Mickey head to give it stability.    I also punched hearts and suns to glue on ear to reinforce the place where I punched the hole and put a ring through.
The kids picked their ribbon from my stash and tied it to the marker I bought and the ring on the book to keep track of the pen!
I used about 6 sheets of cardstock per book and the rings and ribbon I already had making this an inexpensive personalized autograph book!

Headed to the Mist

I am ferociously attacking my pack of Dotty paper from last year!  Niagara Falls was a great photo opportunity that I took grand advantage of!  I took 107 pictures and my daughter took 69!  All from about a 3 hour excursion!

The Niagara Fall layouts are going to simple as a result of the number of pictures! Simple doesn't have to mean boring!  I added interest to this layout with the curving dot paper and then added the title to follow the curve!  The title is cut with the Artiste Cricut cartridge!  Love that alphabet!

If you are wondering why I titled it heading to the mist...well, we were headed over the bridge to go down to ride the Maid of the Mist that goes up close to the Falls!  It was so much fun and my kids had a blast!  I have done it several times in my life but I had forgotten how wet you get and how rough the ride gets!

One other thing I wanted to point out is that sometimes you just don't get a good photo!  Our family picture (far right) is not very good but it does show the chaos our family is usually in so I used it anyway!  The picture sometimes can tell a story that you wouldn't normally display but it is the real story not the posed one!

I have another Niagara Falls post with the same papers, very different look!
