ABC Blog Hop - Quilted letter Q

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter Q.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their Q element will be featured in their post.

I have been making a quilt this week for our Life Group leader from our church.
She and her family are moving to Paraguay in less than two weeks and found out sometime this spring that she is pregnant and due in January. They are going to Paraguay to be missionaries and this pregnancy was not expected and not planned for in their budgeting!  If you would like to read more feel free to go to their website, God's Promise for Paraguay.

Why am I telling you all this?  That is where I got the idea for my card, a quilted card! I know long way to get there, sorry!

I have had this card pinned on Pinterest for a while and wanted to make it but just hadn't gotten there.  I used this tutorial to make it!  It was way easier than  I thought it would be!  Here is my version of it:

I used the Babycakes Paper pack, Happy Clusters stamp set (retired), Tan and Brown Sparkles assortment and my Cuttlebug.  After assembling the pinwheel part, I put it through my Cuttlebug to give it the quilted look!  Hope you enjoyed my card!  Enjoy your Quest through the rest of the blog hop!

Babycakes Cards

I had a friend ask for some baby cards and I was just finishing the Babycakes Layout Workshop and had this paper out! The Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog had this challenge on their blog:
This is what I came up with!

also has a challenge to add glitter so I entered that too!

I used the zip strip that said baby, baby, baby that had a bit of the striped paper still attached to it to be the sentiment on this card.  I covered a star with our new Bronze Shimmer trim and cut around it to add a little glitz. The stars were cut with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and the smaller ones were stamped with the star stamp that says baby on it from the Babycakes Workshop on the Go stamp.

These are the other cards I made with the same paper!
Fresh from Heaven is another Babycakes Workshop on the Go stamp set!
The shiny is the Bronze Shimmer Trim and the bling is the Sparkles Tan and Brown Assortment.
This sentiment is from the Artbooking Cricut cartridge  stamp set.

Studio J - Adding Photo Wells

This layout in Studio J already has 10 pictures on it! It worked great for Christmas photos of my family.
When we went to the Field Museum in Chicago we too loads of pictures in the Hall of Gems.  They were interesting but I didn't want 5 or 6 layouts of gems so...I added photo wells.

This layout is the same as the one above but has 14 additional 2x2 photo wells added!  Did you know that you can do that now?  You can size them what ever size you want and add as few or as many as you want! This layout now has 24 photos on it!
You can even change the size of the photo wells already on the layout!  This new feature add even more versatility to Studio J.  Have you tried Studio J?  You can play and create with NO cost to you!  The only cost is actually when you want to print your creations!

Just BE Cousins

I saw this layout on Pinterest.
I had too many photos to do just this layout so I did a reflection of the layout to create a 2 page layout!

I used the Dotty paper which is retired, it is too fun not to use!  The titles and hexagons are from the Artbooking cartridge.  The Just BE is actually a title on the cartridge and the cousins I welded in the Cricut craft room.  Can you tell I love the new Artbooking Cartridge?  It is so versatile and has a great alphabet!

Krenzer Family Picnic

On our vacation last summer we spent and evening at my dad's family home!  Most of this sibling were there and tons of cousins and their kids too!  Needless to say since my dad is one of 12, the house was packed!  I wanted to include most of the pictures from that day but not have several layouts so I pulled out and old Photofull layout from a class I took earlier this year.  It looks like I only 10 photos on this page but...
The left page has an insert that pulls out and has photos  below the title and on the back too!  Making it 18 photos!
 But...there's more!
On the right page there is a flap that flips up but also pulls out!  With 5 more photos!  So I have a total of 23 photos on this one layout!  I could have added more on the back of this pull out if I had them!
I used the Buzz and Bumble papers, which are retired but still in Studio J, and the Artbooking Cartridge for the title and the mat that I wrote the date on!  I still have one Buzz and Bumble paper pack available if someone needs it!

Another Photofull layout can be found here!

I also entered this in the Things Beginning with F challenge on The Southern Girls Challenge blog.

ABC Blog Hop-letter P

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter P.  This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has
chosen as their P element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning  at
Janna's Blog The Creative Princess

If you came from Janna's Blog The Creative Princess then you're on the right track!

P is For Paisley!
Laughing Lola has a patterned paper that is all paisleys and I just love it!  I wanted simple because the paper is pretty busy so I used Lagoon card stock for the bases and laid out the pictures in a pleasing way.  I knew it needed more so I started thinking about embellishments.  Nothing really was fitting so I thought could I find paisleys to cut on the Cricut.  I did on the Groovy Times cartridge.  I cut them and they were perfect but I wanted a little more so I added the flowers and Black corduroy brads (both are retired)!

The title was cut using Cricut Craft Room and the Artbooking Cartridge!   It is super easy to weld the letters from the Artbooking Cartridge in Cricut craft room.  I just decrease the spacing between the letters (there is a button on the left) and make sure it says weld next to the letters! So much easier to stick on a whole word instead of letter by letter!

Viola simple but yet pretty graphic!
