Hmm...Love the layouts but it needs something

I am really happy with theses layouts and colors in these layouts, but feels like it needs something.

I used the retired Tinkering paper, I love the bright colors!  It is still available in Studio J! Another Tinkering layout can be found here!

So what would you do to dress these layouts up a little!?

I also entered this in the Child's Play Challenge to use gears!

*I guess I should have said I don't have any fishing embellishments and I haven't found any on my Cricut cartridges!  I ended up putting buttons on them.  On the top layout I put them on the green.  I need to talk with my boys about this event and see if I can add some journaling, I wasn't there!

  1. I always think of waves when I have photos with water. I like how you incorporated the gears into your layouts. Thanks for playing at Child's Play!

  2. Very fun bright layouts! The only thing I can think to add, but this is because I do this on EVERY one of my layouts, is outlining along some, maybe even all, of the different pieces of paper. Other than that I think it looks great!
Thanks for playing w/ us at CPC!

  4. Great layouts! Love the bright colors and fun papers. I think they need some journaling...that would help. And as Doreen said, outlining always adds something too. Thanks for playing along at Child's Play!

  5. I think it looks great! Maybe add some "fishing" embellies?

  6. Love that paper pack, and it works so well for these pictures! Only thing I can think to add, since the layouts are sequential, is maybe a few fish (punched or die-cut) swimming around the bottom left corner of the first layout, and then a fish on a fishing line for the second.

  10. Love the bright colors. The "hook, line, and sinker" title is perfect! How about a banner on the right page of that layout across the top... or some fishing line with fish hanging down. When I don't have a die cut, I often print out an outline clip art from the web, cut it out, and use it as my template. Thanks for playing along with us at CPC.
