Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

My first thought on this sketch was another Christmas card! However, I couldn't find stamps I wanted to use and so I decided to play with the NEW stuff!

I used the cute Hopscotch paper and the Hopscotch Card Workshop on the Go stamp set and the Operation Smile stamp set! The fun new twine was the perfect accent for the card!The inks used were Holly Hock and Lagoon! Hope you join us and make your own Challenge card or page!

The Everything ABC Blog Hop- Letter Z

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter Z. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their Z element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you are at the beginning!

Zip, zoom , zap….is what December how fast December has gone around here! I almost didn't get this post done despite reminders! Yes we have been busy with piano and violin recitals, concerts with choir and the USAA band and our sons's birthday on December 9.

We couldn't figure out how to fit the boys' birthday party in until last night. They couldn't agree on ANYTHING including cake, what to do, theme, etc! Finally they compromised and we got it scheduled! No specific theme and cheesecake fro the cake and How to Train a Dragon 2, all compromises!

So mommy, me, got a little crazy looking on Pinterest at Harry Potter fare and created butter beer, butter beer cupcakes and cockroach clusters all from the Harry Potter books!

But my real Z is Zip and Zoom! The snitch from Quidditch in Harry Potter!

If you are unfamiliar with the snitch it is extremely fast and zips around the Quiddich field trying not to get caught (kinda how I feel this time of year!)

All I did was take a wing shape on the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and welded two together in the Cricut Craft Room and cut! A Ferrero Rocher candy, remove the little paper cup and the sticker and glue dot the wings on! Voila instant Zippy snitches every where!

I glued them to the top on a box of candy and popcorn as the kids treats to take home!

Snowhaven Workshop

Cost is $40

Create 4 two page layouts with the wintry Snowhaven Papers and Complements. The finished layouts will be slightly different than these but only in the way they are embellished!

Everything will be cut for you and all remaining paper is yours.

Layouts are from a Workshop purchased at PJ's Corner.

Don't forget to bring scissors, adhesive, glue dots and pop dots!

I knew I was behind on posting on my blog but 10 days! Arg! This season is so busy and for us it starts about a month ago plus adding a trip to NYC right before the normal chaos, what was I thinking?!! Oh yeah, once in a lifetime, bucket list type of trip! Anyway!
