First I went to the photos from that year and looked to see if I had missed any. No such luck, however the gap was at the break between two years so I decided to create a page that was a celebration of the new year.
I pulled out the Artbooking cartridge and thought overlay. I couldn't find one I liked for what I was wanting so I decided to use a photo mat on page 65.
If you set the dial at 11 the photo mat would have cut for a 4x4 photo and I wanted to cover the whole sheet of cardstock just like an overlay. I used the real dial size and the size set to 11 inches and voila a new overlay!
I also cut the title from the Artbooking and the firecracker out of our glitter paper!.
I was really happy with how this turned out and it was a great transition to the new year in my scrapbook!
On Scrap It Girl they had a challenge to make a page about a new years resolution or use sparkly stars so I thought I would enter this since it is a result of my "resolution" and has sparkly stars.
Child's Play also had a glitter challenge so I entered it also!
