New Product Blog Hop - Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment

I wanted to showcase the Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment and had these Father's Day pictures. I sorts through the pile of awesome Fundamental Basics papers and this paper worked the best with the photos.  The papers are the same design on both sides, one side with a glossy resist pattern.
I was thinking through the new paper packs and trying to think which would complement the pictures and the colors went great with Ivy Lane, but it didn't seem masculine enough. However, it totally worked!
I wanted to use this layout.  The chevrons really stumped me for a bit until I a tutorial that had you cut strips into equal length strips and then just layer then at a 45 degree angle.  I cut 2.5 inch strips that were 0.5 inch wide. It was way easier than any other tutorial I found!  I used a zip strip to create a border across the chevron border and as one of the banners at the top of the page.  Around the banners I used the Baker's twine from the Mini-Medley Accents Wooden Collection.

I wanted an oval title and couldn't find one that I had on a Cricut cartridge.  I found the Happy Father's Day on the Artiste cartridge and added the oval outline in the Cricut Craft Room and welded them.  Instant exactly what I wanted!  I love the Cricut Craft Room.

Can you see the glossy resist in this picture!  Isn't that cool!
Thank you for joining me on the New Product Blog Hop. Please check out the other consultants work too!
