Yes those are huge ant hills from ants that Disney imported from Africa!  They are simply amazing and deserved a page all to themselves!  I also included some of the interesting facts about the Kilimanjaro Safari ride at Animal Kingdom.
I used up some more scraps from the other safari pages and some really old Creative Memories and stickers and a little bling on the title! Love using my stash! In fact the leafy branch was from a display board for a ladies retreat in April and was cut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge!!

PhotoFULL fun!

My daughter and my Mother both took pictures on this camping trip and oh my there were tons of pictures!
I had already done 4 two page layouts for the Timberline Class from these pictures and I was really not wanting to do 2 or 3 more so I decided to use them for my last PhotoFull class that Tami Sanders designed!  I love the way it turned out and all pictures are done! She is quite creative in getting lots of photos on one page!
Join us for the next class on July 10 at 10 am!
Can you believe I got more than 20 photos on this page?
I also entered this in the Great Outdoors Challenge on the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog!

Money $aving $ketches at Epcot

These pages are made with:
4 cardstock - same or mix and match for background

2 different card stock for mats
2 different sheets of printed paper

Crazy efficient use of paper! Join us for the next class on July 10!

I wasn't sure about using the Mickey paper as the background, I was afraid it would be too busy!  Choosing papers that were very simple and plain to go with the Mickey paper made it work.  Taking chances and going outside your box sometimes results in something fun and different for you!
I only had a few pictures of the Norway part of Epcot so I made the second page of this layout Norway and the first page the rest of China!
One of the things I have had to do with these Disney pictures is weed out many of the pictures and really evaluate which ones to use.  Do i ever use a picture that isn't great and throw out one that is good?  Yes!  On the top layout I had several pictures of the acrobats and not one of them was great, but I really wanted to represent that on the page so I used a blurry picture. I had a few more pictures of my son in the Viking getup and chose the best and had to leave some out!

The thing I want to do with my pages is tell a story and sometimes that means a not so great picture and sometimes weeding out good photos!

How do you narrow down your photos?  Do you do it before you print, after you print or a combination? Share your thoughts to get a chance to win some bling!

Epcot- Disney Day 4

My son, Joshua has a love for cars that is all encompassing and non-discriminating!  The cars were right after they got off the Spaceship Earth ride.  They could even get in the cars!  You can tell from his face on the right 2 pictures that he is ecstatic!

I needed fun blingy papers to emphasize the shiny cars! It is hard to tell but the silver paper is shiny and the blue paper had sparkly silver stars!  I added the red to tie in the Disney element with the title and Mickey heads!  They were cut with the Cricut Craft Room and the Mickey Font Cartridge!

Progress is being made through Disney!  Tomorrow I leave for Disneyland and another Close to My Heart Convention! I am so excited and looking forward to the exciting changes that will be coming that I will get to share with you!

The Everything ABC Blog Hop - Letter M for Magnifique and Mickey!

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter M.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever  the crafter has chosen as their M element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you are at the beginning!

My letter M is Maginfique and Mickey!
So all my pictures from Disney are during last year's Close to My Heart annual Convention!  This year's convention is coming up soon!  Be watching my blog and Facebook page for updates and new products!

My whole family including my parents came and they did Disney while I did convention and I spent one evening with my hubby going to the Boardwalk area and having a nice dinner at the Flying Fish Cafe without our 4 kids!!  Of course it poured down rain right before we went and was very humid! I looked through my papers and found the lovely retired Magnifique papers which seemed to work perfectly with the pictures!
Now how to incorporate the Disney part of the layout since my paper didn't say Disney at all! So I thought about using a Mickey head with the word Disney in the middle of it!  It worked perfectly and added the Disney element I wanted while still leaving the pages with the elegance offered by the Magnifique papers!
I also used the Cricut Craft room to weld the letters together to make them easier to attach to the page!  It also helps to figure out sizing of the words!

I also entered this in the Heart 2 Heart June 2 challenge of Rhapsody in Blue!

What would your M be?

Mickey in the rain!

The Mickey paper called my name in the store and then I had a hard time using it because it was so cute and I didn't want to cover it up or cut it up. I had just one photo with my son's Mickey he bought with his own money. The paper was perfect I covered very little of it!  I also used the shiny red paper I used on another page to help the picture pop out from the other Mickey's better! Simple but effective!

Waiting on the rain again!  I got caught on my way to meet my family in Epcot! We met up and almost immediately had to find shelter!  It was fun though, with the kids hiding under a plant and Joshua being Joshua and dancing and wiggling his cute tiny hiney!
Are you tired of Disney yet? Me too!  But I am having fun using such a variety of papers and subjects!
