Pocket Style Scrapping

Picture My Life is the new Close to My Heart version of pocket page scrapbooking!  I am not a pocket scrapbooker so I took a class recently on scrapping outside the pocket and realized how fun the pocket scrapping was in some ways, though I am still not excited about pockets.

So some of the design elements they talked about stuck with me and I used a pocket style design to make this fun page!  I have all 4 x 6 or 4 x 4 pictures and pieces of paper!  Instead of putting it in a pocket page I just adhered it to white cardstock. I used the stickers and and embellishments from the My Crush Best Day Ever Assortment to add interest and a little journaling!  I also journaled on a piece of paper that coordinated with the retired Dotty I was using!

When I started looking at these pictures and wanted to fit them all on one page I didn't think I could do it!  I am so happy with the way it turned out, especially the colors from the Dottty papers and the My Crush Assortment that worked perfectly!!

While Picture My Life is not the way I will usually scrapbook it is easy and FAST!  If you have pictures sitting around that you want to scrapbook and feel you aren't creative enough, this is a great way to do it!  Contact me for more info or to schedule a time where I can help you learn how to use this great resource to get get your pictures out of the box and on the page or from JPGs to the page!

I am hoping to try some actual pocket pages soon and share them with you!

  1. Wonderful layout and a good use of those cards :) I took that class too, just love the ideas she was coming up with. There is a challenge this month that has that style scrapping on it if you want to check it out: http://sketchnscrap.blogspot.com/2014/06/sketch-n-scrap-58.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Sketchnscrap+%28Sketch~N~Scrap%29
