The Everything ABC Blog Hop- Letter R

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter R.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever  the crafter has chosen as their R element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you are at the beginning!

My R's are Remember and Retro!  This page stemmed from an event I want my girls to Remember!  It was a Secret Keeper Girls Crazy Hair Tour. The Secret Keeper girls events are intended to remind girls about modesty and respect for them selves!  It was a fun evening and an important one too!
The paper I used was so Retro!  It is Sophia and is retired and pretty retro looking, but perfect for the photos and the event!  It was loud and silly and PINK!

For the design I used a layout from one of our How-to books, Cherish, the Keep It In Proportion Layout (pg 44).

For a little bit of new and sparkle I used our Junebug Puffies that are in the While Supplies Last section!!

The flowers I used are also quite Retro!  They are from the Just Blooms collection and are retired! The title is cut on the Cricut with the Artbooking Cricut cartridge!

Hope you enjoyed my Retro Remembrances and will join the rest of the hop to see what they came up with for R!

Blossom(ing) circles

This is one of the cards from a recent Card Cafe! The paper is Blossom and it is made from 1.5 inch circles that are folded in a little on two sides forming a point.

Then the petals were placed on a circle and glued down.  To hide the less than perfect center I just punched a 1/2 inch circle and put a sequin in the center for a little bling!

Faux stitching gave it a quilt feeling and a little more bling with Sequins was the finishing touch!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #121

Time for another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!
This one was a great use of leftovers for me!  I had cut some things wrong for an upcoming class and had them in my bag of Zoe paper.

The hello and it's mats are all cut with the new Artistry Cartridge. It made for a super quick card!

Using the Zoe paper including Slate and Sorbet Cardstock for the base and two rectangles and then adding the Glacier and White Daisy papers for the Hello made for a fun combo and the Enamel and Glitter Duos Green Triangles were the finishing touch.

The only other things I did was to sand the edge of the Slate to soften it up and used 3-D Foam Tape to pop the Hello.

Join us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #121 and share your interpretation of the sketch!

The Everything ABC Blog Hop - Letter Q

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter Q.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever  the crafter has chosen as their Q element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you are at the beginning!

In Questing to find the Quintessential Q, I Queried and came upon Quilt! I wanted to use our Fundamentals because they are being revamped and I love the changes that are coming!  They are a much overlooked product!

Each color I cut a 1.5 inch square and then cut it in half diagonally and then on of the halves in half again(quarters for another Q and resident math geeks!)

Using a scrap of colonial white cut into a 3.5 inch square I placed the solid glossy sides into a pinwheel shape and then filled in with the quarter triangles until I found a pleasing combo!

Then I place the squares on a card diagonally and trimmed off the excess!

The sentiment is from the NEW Balloon Wishes stamp set which you can get free with a specific purchase, click here to find out more!
Hope you enjoyed my Q and will Continue through to see what other creative Q's you will find!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #119

Zoe paper and Artistry Cricut Cartridge are two of the two new products available from Close to My Heart this month, I wanted to use them for this sketch from Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge!

After browsing through the options on the Artistry Cartridge and came across the flowering vines and wanted to make them work!  Two different vines are combined to make the shape out of Sweet Leaf paper!

The Coral Reef Sequins were the final finishing touch that made it perfect!  I was really happy with the way it came out!

Isn't the Zoe paper cute!  The Artistry Cartridge has lots of amazing stuff on it from overlays, banner shapes, words...it has everything! Check out the shapes here!

The Everything ABC Blog Hop- Letter P

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter P.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever  the crafter has chosen as their P element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you are at the beginning!

P Is for Picture My Life and PhotoFull!  It has been a long time since I did a PhotoFull layout by Tami Sanders.  I actually went to Scrapbook N More in New Braunfels for the class since my kids were all at camp for most of the class, thanks to my mom for picking up and feeding the boys lunch!

PhotoFull is a great resource for me because I was able to create one page and include approximately 25 pictures!  When I scrapped these same pictures the normal way it took 4 layouts!
The paper is Jackson and the title is cut from the NEW Artistry Cricut Cartridge that went on sale today! The flaps are attached with Washi Tape!  I used the Sparkle and Shine Washi and Chocolate Woodgrain Washi both of which are in the While supplies last on my website at a discounted price!
My journaling box on this page was a Jackson Picture my life card!  I love including Picture my Life cards in traditional layouts as embellishments and journaling boxes and sometimes even titles!
The flap on the left page actually pulls out and has additional pictures on the front and back.
Hope you enjoyed my P's and continue the hop to see the others!
