Urban

Urban
Urban is the greatest masculine, outdoorsy, industrial paper!

It was so fun and easy to make these fun masculine cards!

This one is made using only the paper cut in strips and then dovetail ends and matching ends.

I also used a Durable Artisan Stud and the Crazy Good stamp set to add the sentiment and a little bling with the So Many Smiles for the circle under it.

This card is one of my favorite cards because it is simple but different and fun!

Again I used the Crazy Good stamp set and added the Enamel & Glitter Duos Blue Dots for that touch of bling!

I can't wait to play more with this paper!  How about you?  What would you create?

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #127

I am not a big Halloween card person but this stamp spoke to me for this card!
Trick or Treat Sweets

So with a little fiddling and a witch left on my table, this fun card was created!

It is sort of mirror image because of where the words fell from my zip strip off the Nevermore paper which is where all the paper came from!

I used the Trick or Treat Sweets stamp set and stamped it with our new Momento Black Ink which works great with our ShinHan Markers that I colored the images with!

As the final touch Green Shimmer Trim was used to make banners under the stamped images.

Please join us and share your version of the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

The Everything ABC Blog Hop -Letter T

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter T.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever  the crafter has chosen as their T element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you are at the beginning!

Trick or Treat!  For my last Card Cafe, I was struggling with creating Halloween cards because they are not my thing.  However, once I got the idea this was super fun to make!

The Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge was used to cut the base of the card with the word bubbles (talking boxes is what my hubby called them so I would have another T).  I cut it to be a 4 x 5.5 card.

The Frightfully Fun Stamp set was so fun to use with this card and perfectly sized!  I just played with which things would fit in each word bubble and stamped them with Eggplant, Black and Sunset.

I added a little coloring with our Shin Han Twin Markers!  On the inside I used the Nevermore paper to cover where the markers bled through the White Daisy Cardstock and cut a ghost from the Artistry Cricut Cartridge and put on the inside so you would have a place to write!

Please hop on through the rest of the blogs to see what the other T's are!

Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope paper is so springy and fun! It screams Easter and girl to me, but it would work for flowers and outdoors and many other things!

Using the NEW Artistry Cricut Cartridge I cut the banner and then stamped in Gypsy with the coordinating stamp that is included in the Artistry bundle.

For a little finishing touch the Pink Enamel Gems were perfect!

For this card a stamp set from the Artistry bundle was also used and stamped in Peacock. To add a little shimmer the self adhesive Pink Shimmer Trim was added across the top and the Pink Enamel Gems around the flowers!

La Vie En Rose

 La Vi En Rose

The La Vi En Rose paper makes me think romance, weddings, love and prom!  However, take away the rose paper and it is very graphic and versatile!  You can add any color you want to spice it up!

Positive Chemistry B1485

The Positive Chemistry stamp set is so fun and shows how you can use this paper for anything, I could have used any sentiment in the center and had a striking card!

Going with my thoughts of love, I created this card with the XOXO  stamp set that is only $2.95!  Love those mini stamps!

I used the Rose paper as the highlight but it is balanced by the graphic nature of the background paper and the simple sentiment!

To add a little extra softness I added the Poppy Thicker Twine and just tied a simple bow.

Sangria

Sangria has so many pretty colors in it and it might just be my favorite paper!  It has the new colors Eggplant, Poppy and Pomegranate plus Champagne, Cocoa, Desert Sand.

Sangria
It makes beautiful Fall projects but can be used for so many things!  Fiesta, Mardi Gras, and any festive occasions and outdoor photos!  What would you use it for?

Check out the fun new Gold Foil Tape on the card above giving it a touch of bling! The edges are also inked on the scalloped circle with Eggplant ink to make it pop! The sentiment and circle are from the So Many Smiles stamp are stamped with Eggplant and Pomegranate inks!

The card below has Coral Shimmer Trim and Enamel and Glitter Duos Purple Hearts and I used Eggplant ink to stop the sentiment from the super cute Crazy stamp.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #125

This Atlantic Hearts Sketch immediately made me think of a page layout featuring 2 photos.  My husband and I had just been on a double date with friends of ours to the symphony where they played the music to E.T. and showed the movie too.  It was way more fun than I had anticipated!  I felt getting lost in the movie and forgetting the orchestra was playing!

This event was made even more fun by the fact that we won the tickets from San Antonio Charter Moms blog!  Because of the free tickets we were able to bless 4 friends with tickets (we had already bought some)!

Using the sample squares from the retired Paper Fundamentals I created the border on the left.  Then I dug through my stash looking for scraps of dark blue patterned paper and found some form Ariana and Proplayer.  The Zip Strip from the Proplayer paper became the vertical stripe covering the edges of the papers!

Wanting to include the picture of the movie screen, I cut a circle out of the picture focusing on the moon and title and then cut a larger circle out of Silver Glitter paper from the Black and Gray Glitter Paper pack.
In the top left I used the Scrapbooking National Stamping Month Stamp - Hello Life and stamped Happy Times, Good Memories and embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder and as a last touch I added some Silver Shimmer Trim across the page to give it that final touch of fun! (Actually my papers didn't meet exactly and this seemed like a good solution!)

The Everything ABC Blog Hop - Letter S

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter .  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever  the crafter has chosen as their S element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you are at the beginning!

My S is Studio J!  I love Studio J and don't use it as often as I should!

Why do I love it?  It is fast, easy and fun!  Close to My Heart has changed it up some and each month they are adding a new paper and new Express Layouts for that paper pack.  The Express Layouts will only be available for 2 months!

What are Express Layouts?  They are layouts that are pre-done for you, you just have to drop in the pictures and change the title if you want and add journaling.  Embellishments are already done!  You could probably finish a page in 5 -10 minutes at the most!

Here are two Express Collection pages that are done with Yuletide Carol that are no longer available!

Below is a Studio J layout I made myself and is from the retired paper You Rock!  I was able to add the Stickease and titles and journaling wherever I wanted!

Try Out Studio J here!  It is FREE until you purchase the layouts which are $6.95 for a two page layout!
