Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #149

I am working on a trip my kids took with my parents last spring break.   I didn't want to do a card but struggled with how to revise this Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #149 to make a layout.  Finally, I changed the sentiment to the photos and added the title on the bottom as an add-on to the sketch.

For this trip I have been using Jackson paper which is retired.  The Guts Galore (the pictures are of gutting fish) title was cut with the Artistry Cricut Cartridge and Design Space to weld it.

While this is a simple layout I am really pleased with the final project.

Please join us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and share your interpretation of the sketch!

Everything ABC Blog Hop- Letter E

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter E.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever  the crafter has chosen as their E element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Wendy Kessler ~ My Scrapbooking Blog then you're on the right track!

Studio J is going away at the end of April but I wanted to get a trip done before it is gone!

Using retired Boom Di Ada paper, I made these paged of my kids' trip to Enchanted Rock with their grandparents.

They got to Explore Nature and spend time camping and hiking! Exploring the Rock was how they spent the first day.

I have really enjoyed Studio J and will miss it! Guess it means more scrapping!

This is the last stop on our Everything ABC'S blog Hop.To start back at the beginning is Catherine Nowak.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #147

Using the leftover scraps from am upcoming La Vie En Rose Layout class was a great start for this card inspired by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 147.   I Cut the Love on my Cricut with the Artbooking Cartridge and the hearts all come from the La Vie En Rose Complements.

I followed the sketch and just founds scraps that were the right sizes or close to the right size and voila!  It is a great sketch to use up those scraps and even those few leftover embellishments from a recent project.  Got a bonus Valentine's Day card for my husband too!

Can't wait to see what you create!  Be sure to join us!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #145

Recently I have been struggling with getting my scrapbooking done, too much other stuff to do and too many family commitments! So when I looked at this sketch, I was thinking quick and easy card and be done with it, but I really wanted to make a page.
So out came the rest of the La Vie En Rose paper left from making my Layout Class and three pictures and I started playing!

The final product is WAY better than I expected!

Pixie paper is the base page with patterned paper from the La Vie En Rose paper pack and mats on the photos were Poppy and more patterned paper from the pack!

The title is cut with the Artistry Cricut Cartridge and cut with White Daisy and Poppy cardstock and layered!

The stamped images all came from this month's special which is the stamp set below, SO cute right!? and were stamped in Pomegranate ink.  Plus I added a cute little Pink Glitter Gem, which happens to be int he clearance section, to the camera!

Filled with adorable icons and loveable sentiments, this stamp set will be a beautiful addition to your collection—but there is more to this stamp set than meets the eye! Not only will you get a high-quality, swoon-worthy stamp set by taking part in this promotion, but Close To My Heart will also donate $7 of the proceeds from this stamp set to Operation Smile™, an amazing organization that provides surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates for children all over the world!
