I shared this gift card with the wives at a Geophysicist Convention. I used a envelope, Harvest Happiness stamp set, dimensional tape, natural hemp and several inks (Honey, Brown Bag, Olive, Cocoa, and Autumn Terracotta)
I started with the largest stamp I was using and used Honey ink and rock and rolled it with Autumn Terracotta. I then started filling in with the other smaller stamps. Stamping in a triangle pattern helps the stamping look more planned!
I continued stamping on both sides of the envelope until I was happy with the look!
I cut out the scalloped oval to perfectly fit my sentiment using the exclusive Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. I stamped the sentiment using honey and rock and rolled in Autumn Terracotta. Rock and roll is great because it gives the images more depth and dimension! Watch a video on Rock and Roll here!
I also cut out a tag for the scalloped oval 1/4 inch bigger than the sentiment and used dimensional tape to pop up the sentiment on the tag!
I added the Natural Hemp through the holes in the tag...you could use ribbon or floss too!
Using the bone folder to get a great crease, I folded the envelop in half.
I adhered the sentiment to the front, making sure to keep the hemp fairly even and tying it on the side in a bow!
This is what it looks like open with a gift card in it!
The fun thing about this is you can use any extra envelopes you have a minimal other supplies to make a gift card for any purpose or season just by changing the stamps and sentiments!
