ABC Blog Hop- Letter L

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter L.  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment.  Whatever the crafter has chosen as their L element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Theo's Blog, Celebrate Crafts.

If you came from Shalana then you're on the right track!

The first thing I thought of with L was Liquid glass but I didn't have time to play with it this week so, I then thought of layering!  Layering can add a lot of interest to a layout!  The following layouts are all the same layout used in Studio J.  as you can see you can really change the look if you layer things!

I rotated the right page above on this one and put a title over the circles and used a vellum mat for the the title!
This one I used giraffes instead of circles!  This is a traditional layout not Studio J!

On these pages made with Mistletoe papers, I completely covered the the circles with Stickease and layered other Stickease on top and put a brad in the center!
The Stickease alphabet created a layered look for the title along with the flourishes and feathers on the Drive part of the title!  I still love the Magnifique papers which thankfully are still available in Studio J.

This layout out of That's Amore is layered in between each circle with a circle Stickease!  Stickease titles also are layered on each picture to identify the houses!  I also rotated the left page to give it a different look!

Stickease squares were rotated to add interest to this layout out of Emporium paper as well as the brads added to the centers of the squares!  I also layered Stickease borders, triangles and brads on the title box.
On this page I roated the left page and added Stickease circles  to change the look of this Expedition paper!
In case you aren't seeing the difference, I went into Studio J and created these two pages from La Belle Vie.  The one above has no extra layering and the one below I added butterflies, swirls and the flourishes around the title!  It completely changes the look of the page!
You do not have to use Studio J to layer!  I just wanted several examples andI just pulled from pages already done to explain what I meant!    However Studio J is lots of fun and a great way to quickly get layouts done!  Check it out here!  No cost until you buy a layout!  Play all you want!

I am the last person on the blog hop!  If you didn't start at the beginning go to Theo's blog, Celebrate Crafts.

  2. Linda ... (you could've called your post that!!) This is AWESOME!!!! I really like the photo arrangement of this Studio J design, but those circles confound me. I love the way you put things in between them. I'm going to try that this week. Thanks for sharing so many great examples.

  3. Very nice layouts. I don't think I can scrapbook without layering. Very necessary for me!
