So my first question when I say this term was, "What is that?" I was not a digital scrapper and didn't think I ever would be. I am still not what I would call a digital scrapper. I use Studio J which is digital scrapping but it is not my main way of scrapping, I still love the paper process! However because I take a ridiculous amount of pictures I do some with Studio J, especially things that all my kids are at…because I can just print 2 copies for each book I do!
So back to the original question, Hybrid layouts are digital layouts with some elements that are traditional to paper scrapbooking added. Above is the original JPG of my layout. Below I have added Baker's Twine, sparkle brads(retired) and Sparkles!
Unfortunately it is really hard to catch sparkle on pages! I used the Baker's Twine to look like the ornaments were on a string and attached it by wrapping it around the Sparkle Brads, one of my bargains from While Supplies Last at a $1 a piece for a package of 24 brads in varied sizes and colors!
I hope you enjoyed my experiment with a hybrid layout! I had a lot of fun playing and was happy with how it came out!
I entered this in the Bling It Challenge on Southern Girls Challenge!
Love this idea! That's what I want to do with the Hawaii pages I do on Studio J: ust add some dimension.
