Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog recently was looking for design team members and I applied and was selected! Can we say Excited!
This is my first sketch to do as a design team member.
At first I found this hard because it had kind of vague shapes, but I decided that was perfect because I could do anything! I didn't want to do baker's twine on the left so I went with a border of flowers. They were cut from the Brushed paper pack with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and placed it on a strip of black to make the flowers pop!
The butterflies and sentiment are from the Your Own Kind of Wonderful stamped in black on the papers from the Brushed paper pack. The background paper is from the Snowhaven paper pack which is wintery, but this particular print is very versatile! I also added a little bling to the butterflies with BittySparkles and to the floral borders I added Pink Glitter Gems.
I adhered the center of each butterfly to the background and then used 3-D foam tape to make the wings look like they are coming off the page! One of our new products that I love is our new Thin 3-D Foam Tape! It is a great way to get a little 3-D without being too thick, so if you like it thin, check it out!
Beautiful card!!!
