Bride and Groom

For one of my Card Cafes (the next one is June 18), I made this Artfully Sent wedding card. It was super simple!

The base was changed to be a 4 x 5.5 inch base and cut 2 per page.  I cut small strips of out Brown and Tan Glitter paper to cover the words Bride and Groom and adhered them to the inside of the card.  I then picked a retired paper, For Always and cut a piece big enough to go on the inside to cover the Gold Glitter paper.

On the opposite side of the interior of the card I used a piece of White Daisy and stamped on it with Black. The sentiment is from The Happy Couple stamp set! It is a pretty versatile set!  I have used it for wedding, birthday, Valentine's and anniversary!  What would you use it for?

The Color My Heart Color Dare has a challenge this week to use black, white and gold. This was a perfect challenge for this card so I will be entering it in their challenge!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #109-

 Using scraps on my table and a stamp set I have been wanting to play with for a while, I made this cute card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #109.







The paper is Hopscotch, which just retired and the stamp set is Rain or Shine.  I just realized I the clouds are a Cricut cut and I could have made my life easier!  Guess I should have paid attention to the stamp set because it tells you with a red line around the shapes and the cartridge and page number.  This one uses the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.

Anywho, I used Honey ink for the sun, Lagoon for the clouds and Smoothie for the sentiment! The clouds were stamped in first and second generation meaning I stamped twice and didn't reink before stamping the second one. For the strip across the center I used our White Shimmer Trim, I had used our Smoothie Striped Washi Tape but it was too much pattern for the card!

The Everything ABC Blog Hop - Letter K

K is for Kitty cake. My girls can never agree with each other on anything for birthday parties. This year, Lora wanted a Kitty cake and Sara wanted cheesecake.  My mother loves to make the kids' birthday cakes so she made her the Kitty cake and it turned out so cute!  

I was down to the end of the Confetti Wishes paper pack and Complements these were the last pictures too!  The bits and pieces turned into a cute simple page. The embellishments came from the zip strips that are next to the Kitty cake and the leftover Complements are the cake on the right. The lovely thing is this paper pack is all gone now!  Love using up paper packs and not having the leftovers that sit around!

Using up my stash is my favorite thing to do, that said the cardstock is Close to My Heart and the patterned paper is from my stash!  He is wearing his Cars pj's that he made so I thought that the cars paper would be perfect!

I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut the title.  The cardstock I used was Cranberry, Canary and Topiary.  While this layout is simple, I just love the way it turned out!

Thanksgiving Pie

 My daughter loves to cook, especially bake!  Thanksgiving 2013 she decided she wanted to bake a pie so she headed over to her grandma's and baked an apple pie.  It even had a turkey cut out of the crust on top of the pie!

This layout features the Buzz and Bumble paper which is retired. All the corners were rounded with our Corner Rounder!

 The title was cut using the Artiste Cartridge and an alphabet I had access to through the Design Space free subscription that I had for 2 weeks.



I had fun with the embellishments on this page.  The leaves are just paper folded in half and cut in a leaf shape and then sanded with our sanding block.   The acorns and apple were cut on the Cricut using Art Philosophy and Doodlecharms.

Fun in the Sun

In one of my Virtual Crops, one of the challenges was to use black, white and one other color.  I used the green patterned paper from the Brushed paper pack and Topiary as my greens.

The title was cut using the Cuttin' Up font cartridge and some stars from the Design Studio when I had a free subscription from the Holiday Cakes cartridge.  The grass was cut with the Close to My Heart Artbooking cartridge.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #107

My favorite thing to do with the card sketches is to turn them into pages instead!  This one was a little harder because I wanted to stay pretty true to the sketch but my page was square!  I improvised and used the left side for the title and the rest as the sketch!

The paper is Taste of Summer special for May!  It is $8.95 for 12 sheets of paper- 2 each of six designs!  They are so fun and colorful that I was excited to work with them!  I even specially printed this pictures as a collage to make them easier to work with! Usually, I try to work chronologically but I skipped up to about a month ago because these pictures were perfect for this paper!

The stamp set I used to make the strawberries and the Yummy is the Taste of Summer coordinating stamp for $17.95! It is stinking cute! I used our Thin 3-D Foam Tape and regular 3-D Foam Tape to pop them off the page!

The title is cut using the Cricut cartridge exclusive to Close to My Heart called Artiste and then I welded the letters in the Design Studio for easier application!

I knew I wanted to use the Taste of Summer the National Scrapbooking Month Special for this card, however I also knew it would be for a boy which the fruit didn't suit.  

So I used the backs of some the fruit papers and it turned out just as I envisioned! the base of the card is Cranberry Cardstock.
