School Pictures- 3rd Grade

Most school pictures are not incredibly fun to scrap but I had fun with this one!  I searched Pinterest for school picture layouts and found one similar to this!  Digging through my old papers I found a few scraps from Scholastic and got to work!

The banners down the side seemed really plain, adding the Durable Square Studs, which are currently on sale in the While Supplies Last on my website!  Love the masculine touch it added!

The title is cut using my Explore and the Cricut Design Space using the Art Philosophy Cartridge!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #113- Father's Day Card

Father's Day, snuck up on me this year so I put this fun card together on Saturday for my Dad using the Sketch #113 for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

Jackson paper is perfect for Father's Day!  I wanted to make this sketch with a little different feel so instead of ribbon I used the Feathers stamp to take it's place!  

For the medallion I used the Holiday Tags stamps and the Father's Day stamp on it.  The frame is also from the same stamp set and cut with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I took a chance and love the way it turned out!

The Everything ABC Blog Hop- Letter M

This one was easy for me!  I was working on my normal scrapbooking a couple of weeks ago and made this page!

It uses the Mistletoe paper, Hannah Montana and Music!  It also is made up of miscellaneous scraps from the Mistletoe paper!  Most of the strips I used to make the background paper were less than one inch wide to start with!

The Hannah Montana Cricut cartridge had this alphabet on it that made the music title!  It was not very easy to get straight but it worked and was perfect for this page!

School Picture Layouts 2012-2013

So school picture layouts are not too fun to do!! The photos take up a lot of the page and the information you would usually use for title and journaling are already right on the pictures these day!  



To make these pages more fun I used bright colorful papers and a really fun stamp to add the words down the side! The stamp is retired but I have kept it for years knowing I would need it for school pages!  There are lots of fun school stamps that are active though!  Check them out here!

Because I have twins, I mirror imaged their pages because they will go next to each other!








The other fun thing I wanted to mention is that the patterned paper was not Close to my Heart (CTMH) but the cardstocks were!  I used Sunset, Canary and Black.  CTMH seems to have some color that matches most every paper I have that isn't from CTMH!

Blossom Layout Class

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #111- Puppy Love

Finding one photo to use for this challenge was my challenge but boy to I love the outcome!

I used the Chalk It Up papers I had leftover and my lovely Cricut Explore along with a little retired ribbon! The hearts were cut from George and Basic Shapes and the title is from Artbooking!  



The bone is a leftover from when my son broke his arm and is cut using the Mickey Mouse Font Cartridge!

Using up my scraps is one of my major goals when I am not preparing for a layout class, this one was easy to use scraps and using the retired ribbon was fun too!

For My L, I chose Lemons and Limes from the Taste of Summer paper and stamp set!  Isn't my layout simply sub"L"ime!?

This is very similar to another Taste of Summer layout I made but with different paper choices!  


I love how the paper makes the colors of their tongues pop!  

The Simply Sublime stamp is on the zip strip as well as a little bit on the paper!  This was an experiment and it turned out fabulous or Sub"L"ime!

The purple mat is a retired textured paper from my stash!

The Lemons were stamped in Canary and Rock and Rolled with Honey and the Limes were stamped with Pear. More about Rocking and Rolling can be found in this video!




Rock and Roll your way through the rest of the posts and I am sure none of them will be lemons! (sorry I had to go there! ;)
